About this place
A sheltered cove 10 minutes' walk north of Woolacombe Beach along the Esplanade coastal path. Barricane is known for its collection of tropical shells carried in by the Gulf Stream, and its exposed rockpools at low tide. Less busy than Woolacombe Beach; no lifeguard. Dogs permitted all year. Home to the famous Barricane Beach Café (seasonal).
