August Bank Holiday: beautiful, crowded and not a weekend to improvise
The Summer Bank Holiday in England and Wales falls on the last Monday in August, and the surrounding weekend is Woolacombe at its busiest. The sea is at or near its warmest, the village is fully open, the beach has full summer energy, and the sunsets can be exceptional. It is also the weekend when late planning hurts most.
